Islam establishes the fact that there is no conflict between God’s words (religion) and God’s actions (science). It supports all its beliefs with rationalised reason.
Islam doesn’t just rely on past historical experiences; it encourages everyone to personally experience its teachings.
Islam strongly encourages being kind, helpful, and responsible to family and society. It is a moral duty to help the poor, orphans, and the elderly, and serve others without expecting anything in return.
Islam establishes the rights of all facets of society and provides the best blueprint for becoming your best self.
Islam draws attention to the rights of parents and children and describes the responsibilities owed to each other
Islam enjoins the best relationship between a husband and wife and requires each to fulfill each other’s rights and responsibilities, with the best of behavior.
Islam has laid special stress upon attaining education, especially of girls. The Holy Prophet (pbuh) has said: A person who brings his daughter up well and gives her good training and education, thereby earning paradise.
Islam also asks employers to ensure they pay their workers full wages promptly and to always respect them.
For those who are healthy, Islam instructs them not to be harsh or unfair to those who are weaker in strength. It guides people to have compassion for those with different abilities and imperfections, always being kind and empathetic.
For those who are wealthy, Islam entrusts them with the responsibility to look after those less fortunate and to set aside a fixed amount of earnings to help those in poverty or distress. For those less fortunate, Islam instructs them not to be envious, and to focus on developing qualities based on strengths so that life can be enhanced positively.
Islam provides a comprehensive and sophisticated framework that encompasses both worldly prosperity and ultimate spiritual fulfillment. Its emphasis on a holistic approach to life, guided by divine principles, sets a robust foundation for individual and communal flourishing.
At its core, Islam defines success not merely by material wealth or social status, but by one’s devotion to God and adherence to His commandments. This spiritual grounding instills a profound sense of purpose and meaning, transcending transient worldly achievements. The Quran and the Sunnah (the teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him) offer clear guidelines for ethical conduct, personal development, and social responsibility.
These include principles like honesty, integrity, justice, compassion, and perseverance, which are universally recognised as cornerstones of a successful and fulfilling life.
Islam places a profound emphasis on global unity and universal brotherhood, actively rejecting discrimination based on race, ethnicity, social status, or wealth.
This foundation for unity is rooted in the fundamental Islamic belief in the oneness of God (Allah), which logically extends to the oneness of humanity. All human beings are seen as creations of the same God, sharing a common origin, thus making them inherently equal.
The Holy Quran, the holy book of Islam, articulates this principle clearly and highlights that diversity in tribes and nations is for mutual acquaintance, not for division or superiority, and that true nobility lies in piety and good conduct, not lineage or outward appearance.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) further reinforced this message throughout his teachings and actions. In his Farewell Sermon, a pivotal address, he declared: “All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; a white has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over a white; except by piety and good action.”
This powerful statement serves as a timeless injunction against racism and all forms of discrimination, promoting a vision of humanity united by shared spiritual values and mutual respect.
Islam teaches that no nation should transgress against another nation, nor should one state transgress against another, but that nations and states should cooperate with each other for the purpose of advancing the interests of the whole humanity.
“In short, I find that Islam provides conditions of peace and comfort for me and for all those who may wish to tread the path prescribed by it, whoever they may be, whatever they may be and wherever they may be, in whatever position I place myself, I find that Islam is equally useful and beneficial for me and mine, for my neighbors, for people whom I do not know and have not even heard of, for men and for women, for the aged and for the young, for the employer and the employed, for the rich and for the poor, for great nations and for small, for internationalists and for the nationalists, and that it establishes a sure and certain relationship between me and my Maker.”
